Getting My Ducks In A Row

Wow....where did this week go!? I have been working really hard collecting all the things we need to begin  our Waldorf adventure as well as trying to collect my thoughts. Which my sound easy but with so many thoughts, I feel like I need a huge butterfly net to gather them all up in one spot and I really just need to take a moment to breathe...... I have so many things on my agenda right now I honestly need to slow down because the reality is there is no rush. I think Ole said it best the other day when I was frantically rushing around the house rearranging everything and acting like a crazy person..."Would you just relax??? It's exhausting just watching you!" and he's right! I'm tired...but also impatient and excited about everything that I want and need to do.

So, on that note. I have decided to get all "my ducks in a row". Today I am making a list of everything that needs to happen and everything that I would like to happen and prioritize!!! The good news is Oliver and Elliott have decided to come on board with Waldorf as well. Now, at least we will all be in the same mindset and I won't be quite as neurotic! I have tons of pictures of Abby to take in more creations that I have made. I have a stack of new stuff here that she hasn't even tried on yet! Working on patterns, waiting on the paper patterns not to mention being a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend and so on!

As nutty as my life is I wouldn't change a thing. There are moments when I say to myself..."Ya know, you could just put the kids on the bus, stop sewing and creating, stop being the over-achiever that you are and just chill!!!" But then I think I would just fade away. My days are filled with so much activity and love I can't imagine it any other way.

I LOVE your picture of the ducks. It makes me think about sometimes we lead and don't look back and sometimes we are to just follow along. Hmm not looking back again! Be sure to take time out to enjoy the moment!!

As you live your life, allow the moments of quietness to be part of your everyday.

It is wonderful how much we can achieve, but in away, it is not worth it, if you can not sit still and look back to see how much you have accomplished and enjoy that...even if it is just a for a little while.

Waldorf is a good way to educate. I don't know too much about it, but it sounds as something that goes with the flow. When children are young, this is a good way to allow their creativity to surface and they, in turn, feel confident to explore.

Praying that you will not allow the "to do" list to become so overwhelming that you become stressed.

The joy is in the process!
