Maybe... If I Start Dreaming About Fall It Will Start To Cool Down...Maybe????

Swingy Smock Top made from Garden Vanilla with a Chocolate Brown Featherwale Corduroy
bubble skirt and Pumpkin Long Sleeved "T"

"Annikka's Dress" made from Garden Geranium and Eggs in Nest

Can you believe this weather??? I am SO SICK of summer! I can't wait until you can walk out the front door without melting. So, I decided if I started sewing up some Fall stuff maybe it will magically start to cool down outside...not likely, but it's worth a shot. I decided to play with some of the "FreeBird" that we got into the shop recently. I just love this fabric so pretty and so FALL! Sadly, you are just going to have to settle for pics on the dress form. There is just no way I can ask Abby to put on long sleeves when it's 107 F outside! So for now these cuties will have to go into the closet while we wait for the temps to cool down.

Finally, a shameless plug for FF&L where you can get these gorgeous fabrics!!!!

Do you have a pattern for the swingy smock top? I have been looking for a PDF A-line and haven't been able to find one. Thanks!

Hi Rebekah...not yet. I just kinda winged it with this design today when I was playing around with new ideas for Fall. But if I get enough requests i may just have to put one together.

You so have to do a pattern for the swingy smock top! Too cute, love the fabrics and the entire outfit. I agree on the melting everytime you step out the door. It has been an awful summer here in iowa, from so hot you can't breathe to more rain than any state can handle at any given time.

Does it count if I just make the same request over and over?

I LOVE those fabrics. You are right, they do conjure fall. I love the orange and lime green with the richer colors. SO pretty.
And the dresses are just darling too, Darling!
Thanks for the chat today. I have missed you like crazy!

Dawn, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Annikka!!!
I'll be so happy to see fall weather.
You know its been hot when a cold front moves in and the temp drops to 95 with a heat index of 100 and you actually FEEL cooler. :)
