My Dream Job & More Exciting News!!!

I've been keeping a bit of a secret, but now it's finally time to spill the beans. I've joined the Fairytale Frocks & Lollipops team. It all started a few weeks ago when Terri emailed me and from there an amazing friendship formed. Terri and I started shooting ideas around and one thing led to another and now I am a part of something very special. You've probably noticed that I have been mentioning her shop quite often and there is a reason. I really LOVE their approach. Old fashioned personal service with a lot of heart. Do you know how rare that is now days? Terri and her daughters have built this business from the ground up based upon their love of fabrics and wanting to have a shop that offered an amazing selection of high quality products. Have you been over to see her selection of patterns? Wow!!!

Terri asked me to be her assistant buyer and help with all the selections that will be offered in the shop. Talk about being a kid in a candy shop. I have been to all of the major fabric companies like Moda, Henry Glass, FreeSpirit, Art Gallery, and so on and so on. Picking out things that I think people would love to have. We have also been getting samples in of things that are a bit harder to find like Swiss Batiste, fine cotton sateen's, dotted Swiss and so many more picking and choosing what we love and think others would love too. I cannot tell you how much fun it's been!!!

Next she wanted to know if I might consider sewing up samples with the fabrics that are arriving daily so that her customers can see how truly lovely these fabrics are...Oh, twist my arm...I am in heaven! Then as if that wasn't pure perfection I have now taken on a few more responsibilities to help build something that I believe in. Terri and her daughters have such an amazing work ethic and want to treat their customers like gold. Hand written thank you notes, pretty packages and amazing customer service. Just today Terri drove across several towns to go find something for a customer... talk about service and she does it all with heart.

I can't wait until May, when I finally get to hug her when we meet-up in Minneapolis for the Spring Quilt Market! That's right, I'm going!!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it and to make it even better guess who I am going to be spending those few days with too.... SAM!!!! That's right, we are finally going to meet face to face and I'm sure it will be hugs for everyone! Sam and I are even going to bunk together. Like there is going to be any sleeping going on. I am sure we will stay up all night like two silly kids giggling and munching junk food. Sounds like heaven!!! I can't wait, both Sam and I are counting the days. Yes, this is a business trip but it sounds like too much fun!

I keep pinching myself. My business is booming, I'm teaming up with Terri and her amazing fabric shop, I'm going to Quilt Market (whoot) and I finally get to meet Sam!!! It doesn't get much better than this!!!
