I Have A Question For You...

Over the past few days I have received a ton of emails as well as phone calls from excited new customers who have recently discovered Olabelhe..mainly due to the amazing article in Sew Beautiful! Many of those new customers have inquired "If I sell the fabrics I sew with or if I offer kits to re-create exactly what I have put together". Terri at Fairytale Frocks and Lollipops and I experimented with this and it was a huge success but I was curious if you would like to see more of this or not. Many people have commented on the fact that they really love the way that I put fabrics together and they want to duplicate what I have created. However, often times the fabric has gone out of print or it's just sold out everywhere. So, I wanted to hear your opinions on this one. I am not promising that this is going to happen I am just collecting information to see if I should push forward with this idea or not. I am thinking about working with a few of my favorite shops to make it happen but only if this is something that you would be interested in.

I have put together a little poll over on the right hand side. So, if you could please give me some feedback I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Dawn

Update! I wanted to thank all of you who took the time to vote on my poll. I have to say I was really surprised by the results 84% of you voted for me to create kits of my designs. Wow!!! Needless to say it's already in the works. Ask...and you shall receive!

I like the idea of the pattern and the fabric kits but also of just the fabric kits too. I love the blue and green fabric you just recently used!! Gorgeous!!!

I have to agree with separate pricing for kits with and without patterns.

I've appreciated knowing what the fabric line is. If you don't do a kit it would be helpful if you told us which of your favorite shops carries it.

I've toyed with this idea as well. I am a kit person. Put it all together in a kit and I will buy it. Especially fabric which comes and goes so quickly..and maybe throw in some thread and notions like buttons or stabilizer? Pack it up all pretty with some ribbon and there you go... an outfit! But then I think it will take a lot of stock and a dedicated person to put together said kits...so...I don't know....maybe a link to the fabric is easier.
But this is my humble opinion.

I have two daughters ages 11 and 17. I have wished for dresses for Cotillion, a series of ballroom dance lessons here in Williamsburg. Also, modest Prom dresses are hard to find. The camisoles and skirts are still age appropriate and would be worn by my girls. Have you considered anything for older girls? You are inspirational and I love your clothes!
