Before The Parade Passes By......

Ahhhhh...Finally!!! I've been waiting and waiting for just the right opportunity to show off these pictures and because it's a holiday weekend this is the right time. These were actually taken last October in Yorktown (which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from us) on their annual celebration of the last battle of the Revolutionary War. Living here in Williamsburg, we are smack dab in the middle of American History central!!! Anyway, This was actually the very first "Miranda" that I made all done up in Navy and white linen and minus the embellishments and I just fell in love with it. At the parade Abby was truly the star of the show and everyone was "ooohhhing and Ahhhing" over her dress and local newspeople covering the event were busy snapping photos of her as well. So, here is yet another option for "Miranda"...you can omit the flowers and just use gorgeous fabrics and you have a classic and stunning (if I do say so myself) dress!

Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Weekend!!!

Dawn,

This dress is fabulous and yes, fits right in with the holiday weekend.

Praise and peace for those who gave everything for others to live in a country of freedom.

Ooohh, that's really gorgeous. I notice the crinoline peeking out underneath. Do you have a pattern or directions for a crin. to go under all your dresses?

I LOVE this dress! I re-pinned your pin at Pinterest, then came searching for it! I have a fondness for sailor dresses, and this one reminds me of them--but updated, sorta. :-) I'll make this in a 6, but really wish your patterns went up to at least a 12!

Blessings--
Dana
