Those Crazy...but Not So Lazy, Days of Summer!!!

Why is it that summer is so crazy??? I always thought it was a time for relaxing and enjoying those lazy summer days??? Not so much around here. I have been just frantic with all the "Stuff" I have going on and feel pretty overwhelmed right now. My insomnia is back in full swing...hence why I am writing this post at some insane hour and I have been up most of the night. I spoke to Sam about this the other day and we both agreed that we were looking forward to Fall to get back into our comfortable routines and having calm in our lives again. Not that it's ever calm with a houseful of little ones, but you know what I mean. I am so looking forward to starting with our school lessons and having the smell of freshly baked bread in the house...it's too hot to bake in the summer...I want the kids to be able to go back outside and play, because currently it's too darn hot and I won't let them play out for very long. I can't wait to get back to my normal rhythm and calm. I need to remind myself to slow down and get back to our "Slow Family Living"...summer just makes me crazy!

Have you heard of "Slow Family Living"??? if you haven't , I highly recommend it! Slow is good...taking time to smell the roses and just enjoy each day and stop all the rushing about....here's a link.

Summers are sure more rushed than I'd like! And this year is too hot.

You are tempting us with your latest photo. Hmmm... could this be Pat's design from Chadwicks? I try to be patient, but have a natural curiosity!

This Laurie is having the same curiosity!

I guess I am the opposite when it comes to summer - for us, summer is nice and lazy and I enjoy every minute of it - heat and all and in Middle TN it gets really HOT!

Laurie~ Nope, this is just another new design I am experimenting with. But speaking of Pat, I just spoke to her the other day and we are planning our next sewing day together...maybe next week. I have so much fun going up to Chadwick's and I can't wait to go back. But I do know that Pat and her dear friend Susan have been having fun playing with my patterns. This summer has been so nutty I can't wait to get back to pattern drafting and designing. I have tons of ideas just not enough time....thanks so much for checking in!

and to Laurie A.~ Oh, how I envy you for being able to relax and be lazy. I'm sure it's pretty hot in TN too! This summer has been too hot for me and I am really looking forward to cooler weather.
