A Picnic At The Winery

Today Abby and I braved the insane heat and went out for a little while to snap a few photos at her request....In fact, this morning she said "Mommy, we haven't gone out to take pictures in a long time. Can we go take pictures today?" At first I said no, because it was supposed to be over 100˚F and as I have told you all many times....I DO NOT DO WELL IN THE HEAT!!! but I caved in when she flashed those big blue eyes and said "Pleassssse!!!"  So, I thought we would make the best of it and head over to our little local winery and take our little picnic hamper and a blanket to rest on under a shady tree....and thats exactly what we did.

I actually really needed to take pictures of her in this jumper because soon I will be adding the pattern to the shop. After tons of requests I finally got around to making a pattern of this sweet little strip~work jumper. The pattern is going to be called "Phoebe's Jumper" and you can expect to see it in the shop any day now. I spent a ton of time on this one and give very detailed instructions and measurements so you can easily make one yourself....and because there are so many prints in it it's a great way to use up some of your bits and pieces of smaller yardage to make an adorable jumper. Plus, Terri and I are going to offer this exact jumper in the shop as a kit that will include everything to make an exact duplicate in this gorgeous Country French collection from Moda called "Avignon". So keep a watch in the the shop for details soon!

After, our visit to the vineyard we went to the beach for another photo shoot so check back soon to see those pictures....Hope it's cooler where you are!!!

Beautiful Dawn! I think a kit in this one would be perfect!! I love these fabrics so much! I have been to that winery too, many years ago.

Cute, cute! Great idea to have kits made up of this. I love that fabric collection. I wanted to make a picnic quilt out of them for 4th of July when we sit by the river to watch the fireworks but I'm not sure I'm going to get that done in time! LOL

Even if you all were hotter than hot, the pictures turned out great! What a fun, colorful dress!
