Miracle of Miracles.....I Sewed!!!!

Can you believe's been more than 6 weeks since I sat down at my machines and created something. Which is absolutely unheard of for me...but I have been so busy lately, I just haven't had time. So yesterday, I made time!!!! I came up with my latest creation which I think I am going to turn into a pattern...please let me know what you think. I can't tell you how good it felt to have fabric in my hands again and to be at my sewing machine. I got so carried away and excited I actually couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up and made another one! Crazy...I know. But you know me...once I'm on a roll I can't stop. I really love this little dress. In true Olabelhe fashion this little number has an empire waist and puffed long sleeves ( perfect for cooler weather) then it has a double layer skirt with the top layer being a bit shorter than the under layer so you can show off more than one fabric. Little buttons down the back bodice and of course lots of fun little touches.

This is the first one I created. I will post pictures of the second dress shortly. I honestly love them both and can't decide which one I like better. Well, I think I know what I will be doing this week. Drafting a new pattern. I think I am going to call this one "Annikka"! Believe it or not, that was going to be Abby's name but we changed our mind and I think it was for the best because she truly is an Abby!!!

Please let me know what you think!
