"Hippity, Hoppity Easter's On It's Way!"
My kids are so funny! Yesterday, they requested a "special Easter bunny" to sit at our Easter table. I was completely enchanted, and reminded them that we have tons of bunnies that we could use for decoration. That wasn't what they had in mind. They wanted me to make one. They reminded me of "Tom" our Thanksgiving turkey that I made who they absolutely love. "Now you have to make a Easter Bunny Mom! It's tradition!" OMG...what have I done? So I sat down at and started designing our new bunny. Here is a sneak peek at our new friend. She is made of super soft white fur and stands over 3' tall. The kids just love her and have decided that this one is a girl, and that she needs "fancy" Easter clothes. So, I will be spending time today making our little Miss her Easter finery. Then the kids said I need to make another one and that one needs to be a boy! Looks like I will be busy with bunny making for the next few days. I will update with new pictures later on when I finish them.
Update:
She's dressed! I'm such a freak, I was up during the night making her clothes. Then I realized I was making clothes for a stuffed bunny and I was lining the bodice, serging seams and topstitching everything. I mean it's not like she is going to complain about itchy seams. Anyway, here she is all decked out. An Easter dress with an adorable carrot print I have had for ages, pantaloons all trimmed out in ilet and little orange polka dot bows and an apron complete with a pocket for her to keep treasures in. Of course she had to have a big orange gingham bow on one ear....Now all she needs is a name! Okay, maybe she's a little over the top....
I think I need to get out more!!!
Have A Wonderful Easter Everyone!

Just adorable, Dawn!!!!
really, really adorable!
She is GORGEOUS!!!! And if it makes you feel any better I have to constantly remind myself when sewing things for my kids that they are NOT going to notice that 1" crooked seam, that I didn't trim a thread, etc! lol
