Great Games
Last night we broke open a few new board games and had a family game night. I cannot tell you how much fun we had. There is nothing quite like family gathered around the table enjoying good old fashioned simple fun. We started with Great States Jr. this is a great game but I have to say that it was a bit too easy for Oliver and Elliott and not much of a challenge, however, Abby loved it. Then we broke open Apples to Apples Jr. and OMG! soooo much fun! We laughed and laughed and finally at 10:00pm we had to insist on calling it quits for the night. The kids were not happy and begged to play again tomorrow night. I have to admit I didn't want to stop either. It really is a great family game. Not so good for the little ones as you have to be able to read to play. I would highly recommend it. I think I am going to get a new game every month. What a great, inexpensive way to have wholesome fun and keep little minds active. Now I need to start researching great games. Any suggestions? We already have many of the classics ie monopoly, scrabble, boggle, blokus and a few others. I would love recommendations if you have a family favorite.
The Great Games To Get List:
1. Cadoo - Got it and LOVE it!!!!
2. Pictureka
3. Pictionary

My girls and I are big game players and right now we are stuck on UNO and UNO Attack. Even before Briley could read, she could easily participate in UNO Attack.
There are many many more great games that we all play together now - Clue, Battleship, Trouble, Wah Hoo, and Parcheesi.
For the older girls, we've started playing Rummikub (a little too much math for a 2nd grader.).
Sounds like a great time was had by all!
Thanks Amy. I will have to check those out!
