Happy New Year!!!

Time to say goodbye to 2012 and welcome in 2013! Last year was quite a year for us both good and not so good, but isn't that just how life is? As the years pass and I gain more wisdom, I have become so much more accepting of the things that I can and cannot change and I am at peace with that. Last night we celebrated with our traditional New Year's Eve Fondue Party! The kids just love it and it's now looked forward to each and every year. This year we added a few new items to dip into the chocolate including potato chips and boy was that a hit!

Over the past several days I have been busy working on taking down all the holiday decorations and diving into a few home improvement projects that I have been wanting to tackle. First and foremost giving Henry a bedroom makeover. Currently his room is in complete disarray and I am gearing up to do some sanding of walls and then adding a fresh coat of paint. Then bringing in all the new furniture and accessories to give him a bright and fun new "Big Kid" space. After that I will be moving onto Abby's room to give her a "Tween" makeover. Sadly, she's ready to pack away all her little girl things and upgrade to a more "mature" space. You have no idea how hard it is for me to pack away all the darling little things that I have cherished in her room but...she's growing up too. Hard to believe her 9th birthday is just two months away! Then onto the kids bath, and a fresh coat of paint in the loft and then the upstairs will be done for a while...I hope! I've also been planning school lessons for the new year and dreaming up new designs for Olabelhe. Soooo so much to do and clearly not enough time. I have so many plans for this upcoming year and fingers crossed I will be able to scratch a fair amount of them off my very long "To Do" list. How about you? Do you have big plans for the new year?

Happy New Year!
I too have big plans and am not done planning. Iknow we are going to replace flooring in the living room and hoping to paint my sewing space. I want to finish 2 quilts this year and hoping to sew for the girls more in 2013. Always wanting to learn I have some new techniques I want to work on and I have some books I want to read. I think I have some lofty goals this year and cant listthem all, but Gods will 2013 will be a great one!

Happy New Year! This will hopefully be a year where I catch up on some partially finished projects and then go on to new. Yes, the home improvement is always on the list too.

My daughter will be 9 in February, so obviously our girls are close in age. She isn't quite ready to give up the toys yet though... although she doesn't play with them as often :/
Plans... well some clothes for DD and myself (I have a skirt in mind I want to make her as well as two trousers and some PJs).
And we were hoping to go home to the UK this autumn. Hoping being the operative word!
