What a crazy weekend...a tornado hit Williamsburg and several other surrounding areas Saturday night and it's a mess. We are fine and we suffered no damage except a few branches down. However, not too far from us it was a lot worse. I had to run a few errands yesterday and several major roads were closed along the path of the tornado and the destruction was scary to say the least. Sadly, one of our neighboring towns was hit really badly and several people were killed and the devastation there is like nothing we have ever seen around here. We are used to hurricanes and the occasional Nor'Easter but nothing like this!!!A local school was destroyed and school buses looked like crumpled foil. Many many people lost their homes and 1,000's are still without electricity. It's going to be a very difficult time for many many families close to us and I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through. So, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad to hear your family was spared the worst of the storms. I did wonder how you may have been impacted.
Prayer is definitely going to be needed.
