First off I have to tell you that Abby loves animals, and I do mean ALL of them. She is one of those kids that will pick up anything and love on it no matter how the rest of us might think..."eeewww"! She has discovered many critters in our backyard and brought them in to show me "How cute" they are...turtles, ladybugs, caterpillars, ants, butterflies, the other day she even came in the house with a wild baby bunny that she rescued from the clinches of death (our cat) which that is another whole story in itself...but the news is good the bunny was fine and is back out in the wild and happily hopping around far away from the cat! Anyway, you get the point...she loves animals and doesn't discriminate!
So, the other day she comes in the house with a big old grasshopper...this is how that conversation went...
Abby~ "Mommy, look a grasshopper!"
Me ~"Very nice, but Abby take him back outside, he belongs in nature."
Abby~ "But Mooooooooommmmmm....I've trained him"
Me~ "Oh really??? What have you trained him to do?"
Abby~ "I trained him how to HOP!"
Oh, to be 6 again!!!
