A Sneek Peek at Henry's Christmas Present

Like so many of us this year, I really wanted to make a lot of our X-mas presents. My kids have just about everything under the sun so it's very hard to come up with something unique and clever. But I think I pulled it off. I made him a play quilt that looks like a farm. You know, when you are flying over the countryside and you look down and it looks like a patchwork quilt. Well, that's where I got the idea. Of course I am sure now someone will see my idea and market it and make a fortune. Anyway, I bought the wooden barn, animals, tractor, farmer, etc. The quilt is not yet complete, I am still working on the garden, complete with all kinds of fruits and veggies that will button on and off, and an apple orchard. The brown "paths" are for the tractor to drive on....kinda like roads. I am also waiting for the wooden trees and a water trough I ordered to arrive. Anyway, I think it's pretty neat and I wanted to share.

I like the idea of the play mat. I may make something similar for a youngster in my life.
