My Very First Waldorf Doll
I have always loved Waldorf style dolls. So, I decided to try making one for Abby for Christmas. I ordered the materials from "Dancing Rain Dolls" and I have to say that Amy and Anne are both wonderful and when my supplies arrived I was thrilled with the quality and care they put into everything. I made the doll yesterday from start to finish in about 4 hours and it was so much fun! Now, I am hooked and can't wait to make my next one. Which I already have the supplies for and it's for Henry. Absolutely nothing was difficult but I will say the hair takes a fair amount of time to do. I bought the yarn blend pack to give her hair a lot more texture and I love the way it turned out. I highly recommend giving it a try. Oh, I forgot to mention. I made the clothes this morning and they were not in that 4 hour total.

She is adorable! I can't believe how cute she is!
She's beautiful!
Several years ago I made a Waldorf girl doll and a boy doll for my, then, 6 and 4 year olds. Over time their younger siblings inhereted them. "Chubby" still lives with us but poor, sweet "Isabella" wandered away from home a few years ago. It was very, very sad.
Isabella's mommy took one look at the screen and sighed whistfully and said, "She looks so much like Isabella, I miss her!"
I'm sure she will get much love and tender care. I love the clothing, too. Isabella and Chubby had hand knit sweaters, as well.
She is beautiful.
Love the hair.
You did a great job, she is cute!

Hi Dawn--Tabbi from SM would love to win this beautiful doll! mtandg@yahoo.com
I really love that doll! As a redhead I think I must be especially drawn to her! Did you dye your own yarn for the hair? I looked and looked without finding any nice redhead worthy yarn to make my young redheaded friend a doll.
She is so sweet! I would love to learn how to make Waldorf dolls.
Your Waldorf doll is great! Is this the givewaway?!
Lovely! I bought two for my daughters a few years back, and never got around to getting one for my now-4 yr old daughter...(the olders are 6 and 8)...she'll be a good little one for some lucky mommy!

WOW! This doll looks EXACTLY like my 7 year old daughter... same color hair and skin! It's adorable! I'd love to surprise her with it for X-Mas! :)

This is a beautiful doll. I had a waldorf doll as a child, and loved her. I carrier her around with me to all places. I hope my child can experience something similar.
