Once Upon A Time...

...there lived a beautiful snow princess. When she was hidden away in the forest she wore a beautiful crown that glittered with all things magical and her wings adorned with snowflakes and twigs that sparkle with little ice crystals. However, when she had to travel to places where others might see her wings and crown she hid them under her fairy cloak and she was able to travel without being discovered....

...who would have ever guessed that having a little girl could be so much fun!! Abby and I have been reading all about fairies lately and her obsession with them is adorable. This morning we decided to make a "Winter Fairy" outfit. Now, I must confess, I had already completed the wings and crown a while back but this morning I gave them to her as a surprise. Words cannot express the look on her face when I gave them to her. But of course she needed an outfit to wear with them so I put this together this morning. Dress made from an adorable baby wale cord purchased at JA. She fell in love with it when we saw the snowflakes with the sequins! Cloak made from vintage winter white velvet and lined with powder blue fleece for extra warmth. Then of course she had to have a muff to keep her hands warm!!! Add white pettiskirt and silver shoes and you have the makings for a perfect winter fairy!

Your creativity always amazes me. No pattern right?? (shaking my head in awe)

Thanks Karen! Yup, no pattern for the dress or muff but I kinda sorta used an Otto pattern for the caplet, but modified. It really was super quick and easy! I really love how it turned out and I will be making Abby a few more of these, no doubt!

So very pretty!
Abby is just a doll! It would be very easy to design and sew for that little precious girl!
