I knew it would eventually happen...I think it was inevitable living here in Williamsburg. I finally got around to making Abby a colonial inspired dress Ala "Felicity" from American Girl. Yes, Abby has a Felicity, but she doesn't know it yet. I bought it for her when I was still pg and found out we were having a little girl. Anyway, I did my version and I think it turned out pretty darn cute. It's very basic...kind of a informal summer dress but I would love to try my hand at making a really lux version maybe out of silk....Hmmm..I've been wondering what I could do with my wedding gown....anyway, Abby fell in love with it so we headed over to Colonial Williamsburg and we walked down Duke of Gloucester Street and Abby was a huge hit!!! Everyone thought she was one of the staff there to mingle and educate the visitors and people were snapping photos of her left and right...she even got to try rolling a wooden hoop on the green in front of the Governors Palace. I have to admit she was such a good sport being all dolled up in stockings, petticoat and dress all in 103 F! Not to worry, we weren't there very long and afterwards we went down to the river to cool down and then out for an ice cream! We had a great afternoon.

Oh how fun! You know how much I love Colonial Williamsburg! And that dress is so darling. I can't wait to take Ahnalin someday.
Lovely!
Beautiful - you have the best places to do photo shoots too!
