Look Familiar???

Here is Abby in the original dress. . .

Thanks to all of you who have sent me all the lovely emails over this past week or so while I tried to re-coup after being diagnosed with these crazy infections. I am feeling much better, but still not quite back to myself. However, I did feel up to spending some time in my sewing room and stitching up a few new outfits for Abby's dolls. I decided it would be fun to try to recreate my "Miranda's Dress" in miniature. This dress, like the original was so much fun to re-create even with all the hand sewing required and all those tiny little ribbon roses that needed to be stitched on.

Here's the original outfit. . .

I also put this outfit together, yes, another miniature version of one of my all time favorites. These little mini's are so much fun. I did have to switch out the pinafore fabric on this one because the print on the original was too large for AG size so I just happened to have a little of another print from the same collection that worked out just fine.

Abby is getting such a kick out these outfits for her dolls...each time I make a "copy" she says "Wait a minute, don't I have a dress just like that one?" I answer with "Yes, but you have outgrown yours!" At least my mini models won't be outgrowing their Olabelhe mini's.

I've also started messing around with some new styles for Miss Abigail for this Spring. You just won't believe how much this child has grown over these past few months since you saw her last. Nothing fits her, and I do mean NOTHING!!! I am having to replace everything for her even down to her undies. My baby girl is really growing up both in maturity and in actual size. She is going to be a tall one, at 9 she is catching up to me and she still has a lot of growing to do. I look at her and think "How is this possible?" Wasn't it just yesterday that she was a tiny babe in my arms and now look at her.
