Here's Kirstin's latest, a dirndl which is actually several pieces. The blouse, vest and skirt are all separates that way Abby can mix and match with other pieces that I am creating for her. Then Abby pointed out to me that Kirsten needed a coat so I made one of those as well and a sweet little bonnet to go with it. The coat does have a hood, but this way Abby has more options for dressing Kirsten in different ways. I have to confess that I am having way too much fun. Plus, while the weather is trying to make up it's mind as to what it wants to do this is a great way for me to have fun. It's a little hard for me to get inspired to sew Spring things for Abby when it's cold and miserable outside one day and the next it's trying to be Spring. The weather here is so crazy in the "winter". The other day I noticed that the daffodils are starting to come up. . . Hello, it's February! Can you say confused little flowers???
I think I'll take a little break from sewing for a few days as we all celebrate Elliott's 11th birthday. I can't believe my 2nd's 11 already! Although, I have to admit he is a very old soul. He may be only 11 in years, but he is so much more mature than most 20 year olds. We will be celebrating this weekend with a fun outing and a big Birthday luncheon tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Elliott!
Gosh, Kirstin is such a lucky dolly :) I once discovered a lovely vintage book designed around teaching girls to sew with dolly clothing :)
Please Please Please start making these patterns available! Cady is just starting with American Girl! Once again you amaze me!!
You have got to make patterns out of these! Bet they'd be super popular!!
Really like the coat and the bonnet!
