Hot Off The Press
I told you I am somewhat obsessed with making "Olivia's". Here is this mornings version. This time I decided to use a contrasting fabric for the center band and I trimmed it out with hot pink ribbon with black saddle stitching and added the sweet little bows to the back for interest and to make it a little bit different. Yes, I know, I still have to sew the hot pink buttons on the back of the dress but I was anxious to have Abby try it on and I can easily sew the buttons on later. I also added a pretty fabric flower to make the front more interesting. To be honest . . . I am not totally sure if I like this dress or not. One minute I think it's cute, the next minute I wonder if it's a train wreck. I'm still undecided. I personally like the last one I showed you much more. But, I wanted to show you yet another idea of what you will be able to do with this new design. You can use 1, 2, or even 3 prints if you wanted to. It all depends on what you like and the look you are going for.
Dawn
I can not wait for this pattern! Will it be ready in time to make for Easter? Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern! I want to make one but I want to shorten the skirt and make it a long shirt. Is that possible with this patter? Do you allow for us to do alterations like that?
ReplyDeleteCannot wait for this pattern to be available!
ReplyDeleteI love this one -- definitely not a train wreck!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Dawn!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! LOVE this version. Will have to have it for sure.
ReplyDeleteI love the pleats you added at the neckline. I think that makes a huge difference and I love the way the fit looks now. And I wouldn't say it's a train wreck--it's doing very well on Pinterest tonight. :-) I absolutely love that fabric. Did you tell us what it was and I just missed it? I think I'm going to have to have this pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love this version of this dress..to be honest i wasn't sold on this pattern but with theese options i think it is a must have!
ReplyDeleteI love this version! Cannot wait until the pattern is ready :)

ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and the contrast band! Definitely not a train wreck. Your use of fabrics and trims is so creative. Can't wait for this one!
ReplyDeleteI really like the fabrics and the contrast. Love the large flower on the front - not as thrilled about the two small bows on the back - I can see them getting frayed way too easily. I also think they mess with the clean elegant lines of the dress. Cannot wait for the pattern - any estimates on fabric amount needed? I saw some I would love for this and was curious how much you were using?
ReplyDeleteI love this version of the pattern. The fabrics look great together.
ReplyDeleteplz provide me video to stich this
